WORKSHOP

Atomic Product-Market Fit: From User Understanding to Business Success

Product-market fit (PMF) is something every team dreams of. It's hard to achieve, often leading to cycles of failures. Experiments fail, product launches fail, and the same old methods keep producing similar failures. PMF isn't just for startups; it should be baked into product and service strategy at multiple levels: macro, meso, and micro. Consistent PMF at these levels lead us directly to business success: adoption, retention, revenue, and other signs of achievement. If we are not delivering value to the target. Product-market fit (PMF) is something every team dreams of. It's hard to achieve, often leading to cycles of failure. Experiments fail, product launches fail, and the same old methods continue to produce similar failures. Failure might be cool, but our company thrives and grows when we succeed.

PMF isn't just for startups; it should be baked into product and service strategy at multiple levels: macro, meso, and micro. Consistent PMF at these levels leads us directly to business success: adoption, retention, revenue, growth, and other signs of success. If we are not delivering value to the target audiences in our markets, what are we really accomplishing?

This workshop will examine what tends to block PMF, why it's hard to achieve quickly or on the cheap, and how we can get there efficiently. The workshop teaches techniques and a fresh process, including exercises around:

* The Knowledge Quadrant: How to dive more deeply into the problem space before you create solutions, products, or services... for a target audience you might not fully understand.

* How we can achieve macro PMF but fail at meso and micro PMF, reducing customer loyalty and hurting our business goal achievement.

* How rushed or fake idea or hypothesis validation can drive bad decisions, bad product, and unhappy customers.

* The ROI We Deliver: We rarely think about how our customers are calculating our ROI, how our company returns customers' investments. We'll introduce a canvas you can use to get teams refocused on delivering the value and quality customers expect, if not demand.

* PSE Strategy Document: How traditional PRDs need to evolve, and a new template to use.

* Atomic PMF Process: A practical approach aimed at creating business success through customer satisfaction. We'll try a tiny sample process together.

This workshop will examine what tends to block PMF, why it's hard to achieve quickly or on the cheap, and how we can get there efficiently. You'll also learn a technique to dive more deeply into the problem space before you come up with solutions, products, or services... for a target audience you might not really understand.
