Purposes and Legal Bases for the Processing of Personal Data

DESIGNWAYS CONF Sp. z o.o., with its registered office at al. Powstania Warszawskiego 15, 31-539 Kraków, as the personal data controller, will process the personal data collected through the form at the following stages:

Stage One: Recruitment process of candidates for participation in lectures during WaysConf 2024

At this stage, the personal data collected via the above online form will be processed based on Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR – consent given for the processing of personal data. The provision of personal data is voluntary, but necessary to select speakers for WaysConf. At this stage, withdrawal of consent for data processing is possible at any time and will be treated as resignation from the recruitment process. In this case, the collected personal data will be deleted within 2 months from the month following the month in which the personal data were collected. Stage Two: Conclusion and execution of the agreement

After concluding the agreement with selected speakers, the collected personal data will be processed based on:

Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR – for purposes directly related to the execution of the agreement, as well as for managing and organising the logistics of the conference, ensuring appropriate materials and technical support, as well as for financial and administrative settlements related to participation.

Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR – to fulfil tax and accounting obligations arising from legal provisions.

Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR – to pursue any claims, which is a legitimate interest of DESIGNWAYS CONF Sp. z o.o.

Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR – in case of consent given for the publication of images for the purposes of promoting the conference and sharing informational materials under the terms specified in the declaration made based on § 5(2) of the agreement. In this case, the given consent can be withdrawn at any time, which will not affect the legality of the processing carried out by DESIGNWAYS CONF Sp. z o.o. before its withdrawal.

Data Retention Period:

Personal data will be stored for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of the agreement concluded with the speaker, and after its termination, for the period required by tax law, but no longer than 5 years. Any Image publication will be carried out until the consent is withdrawn.

Rights of the Data Subject:

You have the right to access your personal data and to rectify, delete, limit their processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to the processing of personal data processed based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint about the unlawful processing of personal data by DESIGNWAYS CONF Sp. z o.o. to the appropriate supervisory authority.

Categories of Recipients of Personal Data

Collected personal data may be shared with entities processing data on behalf of DESIGNWAYS CONF Sp. z o.o. for purposes specified in the agreement, including IT service providers, accounting firms, and other entities authorised under the law.
