Iga Mościchowska

UX consultant and trainer at WITFLOW & [ation] center

About

Iga has been actively involved in interaction design and UX research since 2007. Her professional journey has evolved from a UX researcher and designer to co-owner of a design agency, leading to her current role as a consultant, trainer and facilitator. Along the way, she's had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse range of clients, including eBay, KGHM, Tauron, Samsung, Onet, and ING Bank Śląski.

She is the co-author of the bestselling book ""Badania jako podstawa projektowania user experience"" (Research as the Foundation for User Experience Design) and the guide ""Online Workshops Toolkit"". She's also a contributor to recurring research studies of the Polish UX industry. For years, Iga has been dedicated to educating the market in Product Design, training product teams, and lecturing at top Polish universities such as AGH, SWPS, Jagiellonian University, and PJATK. She founded and serves as the Head of UX & Product Design studies at AGH University of Science and Technology and is a mentor in the Google for Startups acceleration program.

After accumulating over 2,500 hours in the workshop room, she published WITFLOW cards for planning product workshops. When she's not busy with all that,  you'll find her learning Korean and building LEGO sets

The Voice of the Customer - about the shortcomings of declarative research in product discovery

Voice of the Customer  - easy to get and analyze, hard to conclude from. Organizations have fallen in love with automatic techniques for tracking feedback from their customers. They eagerly reach for reviews, opinions, helpline reports and ratings on scales. It gives them a conviction that their organization is customer-centric. However, it is not the most accurate source of users' needs in product discovery. In the presentation, I will focus on what are the limitations of declarative methods and what are their alternatives.
