Do we still get to just design?

Designers can build more than they could two years ago. The open question is how much of that is real.

Can we ship and run actual products now, or are we still delivering Figma files with a nicer prototype attached? When the demo meets users, what breaks? And if we really can build, what do we need to learn to do it: GitHub, branches, deploys? Or is that still someone else's job, and we get to stay in the part we're good at?

I'd rather compare notes than theorise, so here's the deal. Bring one thing you handed to AI in the last few months and regret, and one where it worked better than you expected. I'll bring mine, including the weekend of work that seemed like making a lot of progress but ultimately produced nothing.
